Equine Rehabilitation at 158 North Street

At 158 North Street, we offer an equine rehabilitation program to help equine athletes recover from injury. Our program works closely with veterinary professionals to develop and execute rehabilitation plans uniquely tailored to each horse. Under the supervision of Beth Franco, horses are rehabilitated from injury onset through performance-level work, including return to jumping.

Services Offered

We offer a tiered approach to equine rehabilitation. Our first tier includes basic rest and recuperation, including stall rest and hand walks. Our second tier encompasses return to basic work, including initial phases of riding and groundwork. From there, horses progress to our third tier, where we work on building fitness and stamina, as well as a return to jumping should that be in the horse’s rehabilitation plan. Throughout all phases, horses experience top-level care and specialized treatment, including ice, medications, laser therapy, etc. Clients also have access to external chiropractors and acupuncturists to come and perform regular work on their horses.

Veterinary Care

We work with an extensive team of veterinarians to guide progress and create rehabilitation programs. Our local veterinarians include Boston Equine Associates’ Dr. Mark Holman as well as emergency care from South Shore Equine Clinic. We also work and consult with renowned surgeon and veterinarian Dr. Jorge Gomez and his team.

Testimonials

“The horses are great. They look great, they are in shape, they are sound, they are happy. When we have horses in need of recovery, I am sure we will send them all to you.”
